[막2:1-12]
1 수 일 후에 예수께서 다시 가버나움에 들어가시니 집에 계시다는 소문이 들린지라
2 많은 사람이 모여서 문 앞까지도 들어설 자리가 없게 되었는데 예수께서 그들에게 도를 말씀하시더니
3 사람들이 한 중풍병자를 네 사람에게 메워 가지고 예수께로 올새
4 무리들 때문에 예수께 데려갈 수 없으므로 그 계신 곳의 지붕을 뜯어 구멍을 내고 중풍병자가 누운 상을 달아 내리니
5 예수께서 그들의 믿음을 보시고 중풍병자에게 이르시되 작은 자야 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라 하시니
6 어떤 서기관들이 거기 앉아서 마음에 생각하기를
7 이 사람이 어찌 이렇게 말하는가 신성모독이로다 오직 하나님 한 분 외에는 누가 능히 죄를 사하겠느냐
8 그들이 속으로 이렇게 생각하는 줄을 예수께서 곧 중심에 아시고 이르시되 어찌하여 이것을 마음에 생각하느냐
9 중풍병자에게 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라 하는 말과 일어나 네 상을 가지고 걸어가라 하는 말 중에서 어느 것이 쉽겠느냐
10 그러나 인자가 땅에서 죄를 사하는 권세가 있는 줄을 너희로 알게 하려 하노라 하시고 중풍병자에게 말씀하시되
11 내가 네게 이르노니 일어나 네 상을 가지고 집으로 가라 하시니
12 그가 일어나 곧 상을 가지고 모든 사람 앞에서 나가거늘 그들이 다 놀라 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 이르되 우리가 이런 일을 도무지 보지 못하였다 하더라

1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
하나님 아버지, 오늘 말씀을 통하여
지붕을 뚫고 내려온 중풍병자와 그 친구들의 간절함,
그리고 그들의 죄를 사하시고 병을 고치신 주님의 권세를 봅니다.
우리는 흔히 눈에 보이는 기적과 문제 해결이 더 어렵고 대단한 일이라 생각하지만,
진정으로 어려운 일은 십자가에 달리셔야했을 정도로 큰 저희의 죄를 사해주시는 것이며,
주님께 아무것도 해드린 것 없는 이들이
오직 자신의 필요만을 위해 몰려올 때, 그들을 외면치않으시고 고치신 주님의 마음임을 깨닫습니다.
우리의 이기심과 염치없음에도 불구하고
단 한 번도 우리를 외면하지 않으시고,
죄 사함이라는 생명의 길을 열어주시기 위해 십자가의 대가를 지불하신
그 끝없는 사랑과 긍휼에 감사드립니다.
주님, 오늘 저희가 주님 앞에 나아갈 때
무엇을 얻어내려는 마음보다 주님의 그 따뜻한 마음을 먼저 닮게 하여 주시옵소서.
주님께 거저 받은 그 사랑을 기억하며,
우리 또한 누군가의 허물과 부족함을 외면하지 않고 함께하며
기꺼이 사랑의 통로로 살아내는 하루가 되게 하여 주시옵소서.
